Rob was born and raised in Independence, Kentucky for the better part of his childhood until his family moved to Morningview, Kentucky when he was 16 years old.  He graduated from Simon Kenton High School in 1999 and graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2003.  From there, he attended Salmon P. Chase College of law, graduating in 2006.

As a law student and for a while afterwards, Rob was a volunteer firefighter with his local fire department, Piner-Fiskburg Fire Department.  In 2007, Rob was awarded the prestigious title of Firefighter of the Year for his department due to dedication and hard work.

Also in 2007, Rob was admitted to practice in Kentucky.  Rob then began working as intern with Steve Adams, learning the art of OVI defense.  Also, during that time, he worked for Stan Chesley as a document reviewer.  As a document reviewer, he developed the skill of carefully reading documents and finding meticulous details of a case.

In 2008, Rob began his career as Public Defender in Maysville, Kentucky.  As a public defender Rob would try dozens of jury trials and countless bench trials.  Rob likes to joke that he “cut his teeth” in Fleming County.  Eventually, Rob transferred to the Covington, Kentucky office to be closer to family after marrying the love of his life, Marcie, and having their first child, Taylor.

Shortly after arriving in the Covington office, the Newport, Kentucky office split away and Rob followed.  In Newport, he represented several hundreds if not thousands of cases ranging from misdemeanors, juvenile cases, and felonies, including sitting second chair on a murder case.

In his time as a Public Defender and handling all those cases, Rob learned the value of keeping good notes, keeping good client contact, and zealously representing his clients.

In 2013, Rob and Marcie, welcomed their second child, Aubrey.

In 2014, Rob decided to start his own firm and expand his representation to personal injury, wills and probate, divorce, custody, and domestic.  Rob continued to practice criminal defense, including serving as a conflict attorney for the Public Defender’s office.

Starting a practice is a slow and sometimes painful process and for Rob it was no different.  However, in 2019, Rob had his best year ever and looked forward to 2020 as his little practice was about to take off.  But 2020 had other ideas when the world was shutdown for Covid.  Rob tried to hang on, stubbornly trying to rebuild.  However, in 2024, he made the painful decision to shut down his practice and took an attorney position in Fairfield, Ohio.

In 2025, Rob would be admitted to practice law in Ohio and began taking criminal, personal injury, general litigation, and a few immigration cases.  His time in Fairfield would be short lived as in July of 2025 he accepted a position as an Assistant Prosecutor for Hamilton County in the Municipal Division.

As a prosecutor, Rob expanded his trial experience, trying dozens and dozens of bench trials and a few jury trials, ranging from speeding violations, theft cases, domestic violence and assault cases, and OVIs.

Despite being a successful prosecutor, Rob always felt his services were better served on the defense side.  In January he began working with Luftman, Heck, and Associates with Brad Groene in Cincinnati.  Rob is excited to bring his services back to the defense side and looks forward to representing clients in both Ohio and Kentucky.

Rob continues to live in Walton, Kentucky with his wife and children.  Both of his children are active with volleyball, playing with their school teams and club volleyball.  In his spare time, Rob likes hanging out with his wife, collecting old baseball cards, and hiking.
